What is the current version of EDL Mirror?Version 1.2 as released on 9th December 2004. This update fixed a bug when loading a CMX3600 EDL exported from an Avid system.
How do I get the update to the current version of EDL Mirror?
Make a backup of your existing version then download the demo of the current version and install. Your existing serial number should be picked up automatically by the new version.
When I try to open my EDL I get a message telling me EDL Mirror can't accept my file. Why is this?
EDL Mirror will accept almost all EDL formats, however it will not except any Sony or GVG formatted EDLs. If you get this message it is likely you are trying to import one of these formats.
When I open the mirrored EDL in Avid DS, I get an error message and the first event fails to load correctly. Am I doing something wrong?
By default Avid DS autodetects CMX format EDLs by looking for an "FCM" line which says whether the EDL is drop frame or non-drop frame. EDL Mirror does not include this (optional) FCM line so you have to force DS to load the EDL as CMX format. The notes on how use EDL Mirror with Avid DS cover how to do this.
