What is the current version of DH_WideSafe?Version 1.2 as released on 2nd December 2005. This update added compliance with BBC/EBU safe area specifications.
When I unzip the downloaded file, why can't I see the plug-in?
There are two possible reasons why the downloaded file isn't unzipping correctly and showing the expected files:
- If you downloaded on a Windows system then it's important that the file isn't unzipped on that system. Copy the original zip file to the Mac and unzip it there.
- There is a bug in earlier versions of Stuffit Expander when used to unzip files. Here's how to correct the issue:
- Select the zip file in Finder
- Choose File > Get Info
- In the "Open with" section choose BOMArchiveHelper. If it's not in the list choose "Other" and find BOMArchiveHelper at
Macintosh HD/System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchivehelper - Click the "Change All..." button
- Double click the downloaded file to unzip again
I followed the installation instructions but can't find DH_WideSafe in Final Cut. Where is it?
Check you're looking in the right place - DH_WideSafe is a video generator so it will appear in the Effects Browser in the Video Generators > Digital Heaven folder or in the popup menu on the lower right of the Viewer.
