Frequently Asked Questions
What is the current version of DH_RetroTV?
Version 1.0 as released on 14th September 2006.

When I unzip the downloaded file, why can't I see the plug-in?
There are two possible reasons why the downloaded file isn't unzipping correctly and showing the expected files:
  1. If you downloaded on a Windows system then it's important that the file isn't unzipped on that system. Copy the original zip file to the Mac and unzip it there.
  2. There is a bug in earlier versions of Stuffit Expander when used to unzip files. Here's how to correct the issue:
    • Select the zip file in Finder
    • Choose File > Get Info
    • In the "Open with" section choose BOMArchiveHelper. If it's not in the list choose "Other" and find BOMArchiveHelper at
      Macintosh HD/System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchivehelper
    • Click the "Change All..." button
    • Double click the downloaded file to unzip again

How do I use the sound effects that are included with DH_RetroTV?
The five sound effects included with DH_RetroTV are standard AIFF files. Simply copy them to a convenient location on your hard disk, import into your Final Cut Project and place in the sequence as desired.
