What is the current version of DH_Dropout?Version 1.0 as released on 15th April 2004.
When I unzip the downloaded file, why can't I see the plug-in?
There are two possible reasons why the downloaded file isn't unzipping correctly and showing the expected files:
- If you downloaded on a Windows system then it's important that the file isn't unzipped on that system. Copy the original zip file to the Mac and unzip it there.
- There is a bug in earlier versions of Stuffit Expander when used to unzip files. Here's how to correct the issue:
- Select the zip file in Finder
- Choose File > Get Info
- In the "Open with" section choose BOMArchiveHelper. If it's not in the list choose "Other" and find BOMArchiveHelper at
Macintosh HD/System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchivehelper - Click the "Change All..." button
- Double click the downloaded file to unzip again
Can DH_Dropout repair dropouts that occur on both fields?
Not directly within the plug-in but this can be achieved by applying DH_Dropout twice to the same clip and fixing field 1 first and then field 2.
Why is the image becoming blurred when I add DH_Dropout to the clip? This makes it difficult to position the correction area accurately
Make sure the "Scrub High Quality" option in the Timeline window RT popup menu is checked. This ensures that the image is always shown at full resolution when playback is stopped and filters are applied to a clip.
