How do I make a video generator clip longer than two minutes?

By default, video generators in Final Cut Pro and Final Cut Express are two minutes long. Here's how to get a longer duration on a video generator like DH_Counter or DH_Subtitle:

1. Load the video generator from the popup menu in the lower right of the Viewer or by double-clicking the video generator in the Effects tab.
2. Click once in the Duration field in the top left of the Viewer, enter the desired duration and press the return or enter key. It is usually a good idea to overestimate the time required as you'll always be able to trim it shorter on the timeline.
3. Edit the video generator into a sequence as normal.
