How do I make DH_Counter run for longer than two minutes?

By default, video generators in Final Cut Pro and Final Cut Express are two minutes long. Here's how to get a longer duration on a video generator like DH_Counter:

1. Load the video generator into the Viewer from the popup menu in the lower right or by double-clicking the DH_Counter generator in the Effects tab.
2. Click once in the Duration field in the top left of the Viewer, enter the desired duration and press the return or enter key. It is usually a good idea to overestimate the time required as you'll always be able to trim it shorter on the timeline.
3. Edit the video generator into a sequence as normal.
