EDL Mirror solves the long standing problem of how best to add effects and colour correction to an existing master tape. Since effects are usually applied on a shot-by-shot basis it would normally be necessary to split the master clip manually. Not only is this process very time consuming but it can also be prone to errors.
The Secret's in the Source
EDL Mirror works by importing the original EDL (used to create the master) and copying the record in/out timecodes to the source in/out timecodes, removing any speed changes, audio events and comments whilst retaining dissolves and wipe transitions. EDL Mirror also offers flexible options for whether the audio track from the master tape should be included in the mirrored EDL. This mirrored EDL can be imported into your finishing system with the result that the master tape can be captured in one pass yet the shots are kept separate.

EDL Mirror imports many EDL formats in use today and exports the mirrored EDL as the industry standard CMX3600 format.
